2. What we collect and why

• Account data (email address, password hash, or your Google profile email if you sign in with Google). Needed to create and secure your account. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Content you post (listings, business submissions, freelance posts, comments, photos). Published on the site at your instruction. Legal basis: contract.
• Messages you send other users through the site. Legal basis: contract.
• Contact form submissions (name, email, optional phone, your message). Used only to answer you. Legal basis: legitimate interest / contract.
• Server logs (IP address, time, page requested), kept briefly for security and to keep the service running. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Sign in with Google

If you choose "Sign in with Google", Google shares your email address and basic profile information with us so we can create or access your account. We do not receive your Google password. Google's own handling of your data is described in their privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. Using Google sign-in is entirely optional; you can register with an email and password instead.

4. Services we use

• Hosting: our server is operated in Germany by our hosting provider.
• Cloudinary: stores and delivers uploaded images.
• Google: sign-in (optional), fonts, and the optional page translation widget.
• Email: we send account emails (such as password resets) via an email provider.

Some of these providers may process data outside the EU. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the appropriate safeguards, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies the site needs to work: a session cookie to keep you logged in and a security cookie to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep data

Account data is kept while your account exists. Content you post stays until you delete it or we remove it. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request. Server logs are deleted after a short period.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time.
